My Name is Mark Liederbach. I am an 18 year old freshman in college at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. I am usually a very active guy and I like to play music and study physics. In fact, my major is Physics - with an emphasis in graduate school - and a minor in Math.
In December of 2010, I was diagnosed with stage 2 testicular cancer. Starting January 17th, I began chemotherapy for approximately three months. Since then it has been an extremely rough road. There have been several complications, but hope is always the most precious thing to maintain.
I started this website to keep hope alive for people fighting cancer; document what having cancer is truly like; provide resources to donate time and money to both local and national cancer organizations; create links to websites and communities dedicated to information on cancer; and finally, never let cancer nor its treatment be battled alone. This website is an online support group. There are many cancer fighting pages out there - many national ones, for example - and I want to help find the support each patient deserves. The website is based out of Greendale, Wisconsin, and it is determined to raise awareness and hope across the nation - and in some cases - the world.
